At 4 o'clock this morning I jumped out of bed
Crazy thoughts of travel swimming in my head
Got a text from Delta, saying my flight is delayed!
But they sent me $60, so at least my lunch gets paid.
Our 7am departure from Phoenix turned into a noon departure, but the Seattle to Paris flight was also delayed by an hour, so we had plenty of time for dinner.
It was clear over Arizona, so we had great views of the geography. I waved to Dylan as we skirted Flagstaff.
Right beside the gate is the Dungeness Seafood House. Just what I needed. I had clam chowder and halibut tacos washed down with a chilled Horse Heaven Sauvignon Blanc, Joanie had the teriyaki chicken noodles. Very good food, and a really cool waiter.
